Tottenham want Robin Koch - Milan & Benfica interested, RB Leipzig are out

Robin Koch remains a hot topic on the transfer market. The 24-year-old defender had an offer from RB Leipzig in the winter but SC Freiburg put a stop to a potential transfer. This summer, however, Koch would like to make the next step in his career and it appears the 24-year-old has several options.

In England, José Mourinho has followed the career of the 24-year-old with some interest and would now like to sign him for Tottenham Hotspur. In Portugal Benfica, under new coach Jorge Jesus, want the center back, and in Italy Milan, even without Ralf Rangnick, want to sign Koch. RB Leipzig, in the meantime, seem to be no longer interested in the defender. Leipzig offered €15 million for the defender in the winter but due to the coronavirus crisis experts believe that Freiburg will be happy with less this summer.

Despite the falling price, it seems a certainty that Koch will leave Freiburg in the summer. "Of course, I am happy that big teams are interested in me but I am also relaxed about it," Koch said to the German magazine kicker (published in Thursday's print issue). "We will see what will happen in the coming weeks." Koch's current market value is €17 million but his contract will expire in 2021, which means this summer will be the last opportunity for Freiburg to earn a significant fee.
