Houston Dynamo sign Mateo Bajamich - "Talented young player"
Houston Dynamo signed Mateo Bajamich, the club announced today. The 21-year-old joins the club from Argentine side Instituto AC Córdoba. He will be under contract with Houston Dynamo through the 2022 season, with club options through 2025.
"After a lengthy process, we are pleased to welcome Mateo Bajamich to the Houston Dynamo," said Dynamo general manager Matt Jordan. "Mateo is a talented young player who can create chances and score goals in the final third, while showing a willingness to put in the work defensively. We are confident Mateo will be in an environment with our club and our staff to develop and grow while helping the team be successful."
Bajamich signed his first professional contract with Instituto AC Córdoba in January 2019. He made 29 appearances with "La Gloria", scoring nine goals and one assist.
