Harry Kane can’t stop scoring for Bayern Munich. The English national team captain has now scored 19 goals in 15 games across all competitions for Bayern this season. Furthermore, his brace against Galatasaray (2-1) also meant that Kane’s four goals in his first four Champions League games for Bayern had equalized a record set by Roy Makaay in 2003. But there is more! Kane has now scored 25 Champions League goals, and among all English players only Raheem Sterling (27) and Wayne Rooney (30) have scored more often in Champions League history

Without a doubt, Kane has justified the club record fee Bayern paid to sign the 30-year-old this summer. Indeed, Bayern Munich beat out their group opponents, Manchester United, to Kane’s signature. The very same Man United, who could now face elimination from the Champions League after a 3-4 defeat to Copenhagen on Wednesday. In what was a chaotic game, Roony Bardghji scored the winner. Aged 17 years, 11 months, and 24 days, Bardghji became the youngest player to score this season and the youngest Champions League scorer against Man United in history.

According to Opta, the defeat to Copenhagen means that Manchester United have lost as many as nine of their opening 17 matches of a season in all competitions for the first time since 1973/74. That year, marked the last time in which Man United were relegated from the English first division. There are some good news, however. At least in Rasmus Højlund, Man United have found a reliable goalscorer. Højlund scored a brace on Wednesday becoming the first player in Man United’s history to score five goals in his first four Champions League games.

Thanks to Bukayo Saka! Arsenal now on course for knockout stage

While Man United face elimination, Arsenal are now on track to reach the knockout stage thanks to a 2-0 win over LaLiga side Sevilla. And Bukayo Saka was involved in both goals. First, Saka assisted Leandro Trossard and then scored himself to cap off an Arsenal win. It was Saka’s second goal and third assist, which means Saka, together with Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior, has the most scorer points among all wingers in the Champions League, further underlining his importance to Arsenal.
