Columbus Crew sign Liam Fraser on loan - "A young, motivated, promising player"

Columbus Crew SC have announced the signing of Liam Fraser. The 23-year-old Canadian moves to Ohio from Toronto FC on loan until the end of the season. In return, Toronto will receive $50,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM).

“Liam is a young, motivated, promising player whose presence will help deepen our midfield roster during a congested season,” Columbus Crew SC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said. “We look forward to integrating him into our squad in Columbus while also helping him continue his professional development.”

Fraser hails from Toronto's youth academy and signed his first professional contract with TFC in January 2018. The midfielder has played 39 games for Toronto (no goals) across all competitions.
