Willem II is a Dutch professional football club from Tilburg. The club colors are red, white and blue. Since ancient times, Willem II has played in a red, white and blue vertically striped shirt with white pants.
The home games of the 'tricolores' have been played in the King Willem II Stadium on the Goirleseweg in Tilburg since 1995.

The club was founded on August 12, 1896 under the name 'Tilburgia'. In 1898, the name Tilburgia was changed to Willem II, after the former king Willem II, who had established his military headquarters in Tilburg and who also died in the city.

Since the introduction of professional football in the Netherlands in 1954, Willem II has participated, alternating in the Premier and First Division.
